Pupils/Apprenticeships

We have successfully been offering an apprenticeship program for future industrial clerks and logistics clerks since 2005. We hire many of our apprentices for permanent positions and have been able to source many qualified employees from within our company. EFB-Elektronik will offer apprenticeships for future warehouse clerks from summer 2016 onwards.

Industrial clerk

Our industrial clerk apprentices get to know the inner workings of a number of departments during the course of their apprenticeship. They are actively involved in diverse areas such as procurement and manufacturing, goods receiving and warehousing, distribution and shipping of products and many more.

Our apprentices also get to know our marketing, accounting, human resources, product management, quality assurance and IT departments. During the three-year term of an apprenticeship, each apprentice will be supervised, assisted and inducted in the relevant tasks by competent specialists. Vocational classes are held at Rudolf-Rempel-Berufskolleg in Bielefeld. They include the major business processes, controlling and monitoring as well as economic and social processes. Vocational classes are held twice weekly in the first 1.5 years of the apprenticeship.

They switch to once weekly for the remainder of the term. In order to have ample time for study, our apprentices do not have to return to work after school is over for the day. The apprenticeship may be shortened to only 2.5 years, subject to good marks in vocational school and pre-existing educational background. Apprenticeships for future industrial clerks are full time positions (40 working hours per week). Part-time attendance is possible in exceptional cases.

Internships for pupils

In addition to apprenticeships, EFB-Elektronik offers interested pupils the option of completing an internship in our company. Internships for pupils can take place in a number of departments, depending on the capacity. We also offer pupils to get to know a number of departments. Internships are available in the following areas: Logistics, export, manufacturing, accounting, marketing, industrial distribution, product management, purchasing, and human resources.

We would like to offer pupils the opportunity to obtain a realistic impression of the respective occupational field. This is why pupil interns receive individual supervision at EFB-Elektronik. The interns are part of the daily work processes and are given the opportunity to complete tasks autonomously.

EFB-Elektronik on Facebook

Our apprentices have created a Facebook page dedicated to prospective future apprentices. It contains all information on apprenticeships with EFB-Elektronik.

To get an impression of what it’s like to be an apprentice at EFB-Elektronik, prospective candidates may also get in touch with our current apprentices. We are looking forward to many more “likes”.

Slavica’s success story

Slavica had just returned to Germany from a 1.5-year stint in the USA, when she applied for a position in our warehouse/dispatch department published by the German Employment Office. She has two young children and was looking for a part-time position permitting her to take care of her children in the afternoons. EFB was able to offer such a position to Slavica and guaranteed regular working hours from 8 to 12 in the morning.

Because Slavica is an ambitious young woman, who wants to continuously advance her career, EFB offered her to complete a commercial apprenticeship. Summer 2013 both of her children were send to school and Slavica B. completed an apprenticeship in part-time as industrial management assistant in our company. Meanwhile Slavica B. is employed in the production planning department. In part-time, of course, to still have enough time for her children.

We look forward to receiving your application! Our human resources department is happy to assist you in all your questions relating to the application process.
