Bielefeld, 03.06.2025 – A wall housing that allows 360-degree access to all components at all times and can be flexibly adapted to a growing network infrastructure: That's what installers get with the new X-Rack wall-mounted cabinet from network specialist EFB-Elektronik GmbH. This in-house development is the first depth-adjustable wall-mounted enclosure to be available in Germany. The X-Rack is easier to install - even by one person - and grows with the respective requirements: This saves future costs for replacements or extensions.
Robin Ohle, CEO of EFB-Elektronik: “With a normal wall-mounted enclosure, the installer has to decide on a size in advance, even if he often does not yet have exact specifications. If the details are not correct, this means an expensive reorder with a delivery time of days or weeks. The X-Rack eliminates this.” Thanks to the adjustable depth, the installer can still flexibly adjust the size on site - even at a later date, for example if larger components are required.
360-degree access for initial and subsequent installations
The components are installed without a cover and can be done quickly by just one person. Once the back frame, which is fitted with a spirit level, has been screwed to the wall, it can be pulled out to a maximum depth of 600 mm. This allows the installer to access the components from all sides - without any obstructive wall, ceiling or floor coverings.
The cables can be routed via an uninterruptible cable entry and exit. Once the back frame is fully equipped, it is pushed in to the minimum required depth (minimum 400 mm) before the cover - consisting of several parts that adapt to the size of the back frame - is attached without loose screws. The X-Rack can be assembled and disassembled within a minute, maintaining 360-degree access to all components at all times.
A right and left hinged door ensures that all components are securely locked away. With three different height units in black and gray, the X-Rack offers a wide repertoire of models. It is available as a set or individually as a rear frame, cover and glass door.
Space-saving flat pack
“The X-Rack is also a product that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of logistics,” says Ohle. As a flat pack consisting of three identical packages, the X-Rack can be stored in a space-saving manner - it is stackable, fits into a conventional car trunk and can be transported by a single person thanks to its low weight. Further information can be found here.
