EFB-Elektronik simplifies network installations in confined spaces

Bielefeld, 21/02/2024 - Network specialist for structured IT infrastructure EFB-Elektronik is expanding its product portfolio with a short and slim body keystone. Its short and slim design makes it easier for installers to install in flat or narrow environments, for example in data centres, offices, industrial environments or in telecommunications. Biniam Tesfamariam, Category Owner Copper Cabling at EFB-Elektronik: "Due to the Germany-wide digitalisation initiative, installers have an enormous need for products that are both user-friendly and of high quality. We have therefore further developed our Keystone portfolio. The new short and slim body keystone enables more installations in a smaller space without compromising on quality." With a depth of 29.2 mm and a width of 14.6 mm, the robust die-cast zinc housing of the new Keystone is one of the most compact variants on the market. "The Keystone combines the features of a slimline and short-body Keystone," says Tesfamariam. "This makes it particularly suitable for confined environments, both in data outlets and underfloor systems as well as for installation in UAE frames."

Integrated connector for potential equalisation

The Keystone is CAT.6A component-certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801 and is therefore suitable for up to 10 Gigabit applications and Power over Ethernet applications up to 90 watts. The high-quality 360° shield connection has a sliding shield contact that adapts to different cable diameters between 6 and 9 mm. The housing has an integrated 2.8 mm FASTON connector for direct contacting for potential equalisation. Installation is carried out using standard installer tools without the need for special tools.
