Premiere at the AirITSystems Security Day: X-Rack Impresses Industry Visitors

At the AirITSystems Security Day 2026, AirITSystems presented the X-Rack live to an industry audience for the first time.

It quickly became clear to AirITSystems that the X-Rack should be given a prominent place at its own Security Day. “We see a lot of potential in this product series. We really wanted to show our visitors this innovative concept,” explains Mathias Thillmann, project manager at AirITSystems.
The choice of format was no accident: At an event focused on IT and building security, planners, technicians, and decision-makers come together—people who know exactly what matters when it comes to installing and operating network components. An ideal setting, then, to showcase a product that addresses precisely these needs.

The Presentation
The X-Rack is a depth-adjustable 19-inch wall-mounted enclosure whose rear frame and cover can be adjusted continuously between 400 and 600 mm. Components are installed not inside a cramped enclosure, but on the open frame. This allows for easy access to the components from all sides. The cover is not installed until everything is in place.

The Reactions
The response at the booth was clear: the quick and straightforward installation was the feature that resonated most. For existing networks, the X-Rack noticeably reduces downtime—a factor that carries particular weight in sensitive environments such as hospitals.
In addition to design firms and business owners, technicians were also impressed—especially by the 360-degree access. Because all components are easily accessible, work can continue without any problems even when existing equipment is installed in wall-mounted enclosures.
“The many productive conversations at the booth showed us that our visitors see the same potential in the X-Rack that we do,” Thillmann concludes.

Conclusion
Security Day demonstrated that the concept of depth adjustability meets a real need—for planners as well as for technicians in their day-to-day work. For AirITSystems, this presentation is therefore more than just a one-time trade show appearance: it confirms the decision to firmly establish the X-Rack in the company’s portfolio.

About Security Day:
The AirITSystems Security Day 2026 brought together around 200 industry professionals, technology partners, and experts at the Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hanover to discuss current challenges in IT and building security. The event focused on topics such as IT risk management, NIS2, SOC, AI in cybersecurity, and modern network architectures. Under the motto “Knowledge Connects Security,” it became clear that security can no longer be viewed in isolation today. It emerges where IT, organizations, and people interact, and it is precisely at these interfaces that security concepts are put to the test in practice.
The practical presentations and technical sessions consistently addressed this perspective. It became clear just how closely topics such as IT and business risks, resilient infrastructures, security operations, awareness, modern network architectures, and the use of artificial intelligence are interconnected. At the same time, it became apparent that the greatest vulnerabilities often lie not in the technology itself, but in the lack of integration between processes, responsibilities, and people. A holistic view of security is therefore crucial.
