Successful Fiber Optics Training Days in Buxtehude

From June 23 to 25, 2026, the fiber-optic workshops took place once again at EFB-Elektronik in Buxtehude. Once again, the three-day event was fully booked, demonstrating once more the high demand for hands-on continuing education in the field of fiber-optic technology.

In the “fairy-tale town” of Buxtehude, no new fairy tales were told; instead, the focus was on proven facts, in-depth technical knowledge, and real-world practical experience.

The focus was on the fundamentals and practical applications of fiber-optic technology, which are becoming increasingly important for many companies in the installation, civil engineering, and electrical engineering sectors.

A key factor in the event’s success was the expert instructor, Dirk Spieß. With decades of hands-on experience, technical know-how, and a keen understanding of the language of the trade, he presented the material in a clear, understandable way, laced with a pleasant dose of humor. It is precisely this blend of technical expertise and practical relevance that makes the training courses particularly valuable for participants.

This time, the participants came from a variety of sectors. A particular focus was on companies in the installation and civil engineering sectors. Some companies were already familiar with the program and sent employees to the training again, while others were participating for the first time. It became particularly clear that fiber-optic expertise is becoming increasingly important strategically for many companies. While some companies want to further expand their teams’ existing knowledge, others are planning to enter the fiber-optic market to broaden their service portfolio in the electrical trade.

Specialized application areas also played a role. For example, one customer reported on a niche in the high-voltage sector where fiber-optic technology is also becoming increasingly important. Another participant even traveled from the Straubing area near Munich because the date worked perfectly for him. This shows that the fiber-optic training days in Buxtehude are recognized and valued even beyond the local region.

In addition to the technical content, the breaks once again provided ample opportunity for personal interaction. In conversations with the participants, specific questions were explored in depth, experiences were shared, and individual practical needs were discussed. It is precisely this direct exchange that makes the event more than just a training session. From an organizational standpoint, the event was once again very well prepared. The team in Buxtehude, through a successful collaborative effort involving organization, catering, setup, and takedown, ensured that everything ran smoothly and created a pleasant atmosphere on site.

We would like to thank all participants for their interest, open dialogue, and trust in EFB-Elektronik.
