Bielefeld, 07/21/2021 Student Miriam Bähner has found her study luck at the FH Bielefeld. For her achievements and commitment, she has received the Deutschlandstipendium from the Studienfonds OWL foundation. At EFB-Elektronik, she is completing the practice-integrated industrial engineering course.
In the seven-semester course, twelve-week theory phases at the university alternate with eleven-week practical phases at a company each semester. "It was quickly clear to me at the time that this study model would fulfill all my wishes. It's the perfect combination of a course of study and a practical job that I've been looking for for so long. By alternating the different phases, it never gets boring and I can apply the knowledge I've learned in theory in practice and vice versa. For example, during my time at the technical college, I attend seminars on mathematics, electrical engineering or business administration. At EFB Elektronik, I am in turn involved in various departments - from controlling to product management to project management. The interaction between the two phases is amazing every time," the 24-year-old says happily.

The joy and interest in her studies are also reflected in her grade point average and commitment: she achieves top grades, was the semester speaker last semester, among other things, and supported the first-year students' entry into the program as a tutor. "Especially because of the digital semester, this was a challenging yet important role that I enjoyed," she said.
