The following fiber optic types are available from us for fiber optic installation cables:
Single-mode fiber optic cables that transmit signals over very long distances with minimal attenuation. Used, for example, in wide area networks and urban networks.
View products
Multimode optical fibres that are typically used for short distances in local area networks (LANs) and support a bandwidth of up to 1 Gbit/s over distances of up to 275 meters. Ideal for older networks that have not yet been upgraded to higher standards.
View products
Multimode fibers that offer a higher data transmission rate than OM1, with speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s over distances of up to 550 meters. Suitable for medium ranges in office buildings and data centers.
View products
High-performance multimode optical fibers designed for data rates of 10 Gbit/s over distances of up to 300 meters. They are often used in data centers and for backbone connections and also support applications such as 40G and 100G Ethernet over shorter distances.
View products
Further development of OM3 fibers; enables 10 Gbit/s transmissions over distances of up to 550 meters and is also suitable for 100G Ethernet applications up to 150 meters or 200G up to 70 meters.

A short guide to fiber optic installation
- Safety First: Review and follow safety guidelines for fiber optic installation, wearing proper safety gear.
- Route Planning: Map out cable paths in advance, ensuring minimal exposure to hazards. Use extra protection in risky areas, keep conduit runs under 100 feet, and limit to two 90-degree bends.
- Cable Support: Avoid hanging or sharp-edge contact by using conduits for support, particularly where fiber optic cables face stress or sharp turns.
- Bending Limits: Adhere to the minimum bend radius, usually 10 times the cable diameter, to prevent kinks.
- Smooth Conduit Transitions: Ensure conduits have smooth interior transitions to protect cables. Opt for flexible conduits when possible.
- Tensile Limits: Follow the maximum tensile loading values for fiber optic cables and consult us if unsure.
- Impact and Crushing Prevention: Install fiber optic cables in quality conduits to shield against crush or impact damage, and use soft ties for storage.
- Vertical Rise Compliance: For vertical fiber optic installations, do not exceed the cable’s maximum vertical rise value.
- Load Monitoring: Keep an eye on tensile loads during pulls, especially in vertical installations, starting from the top.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and national regulations and obtain necessary permits.
