Our company history in a timeline
1988: FOUNDING
EFB-Elektronik in Bielefeld as a manufacturer and system provider for data and network technology and industrial cabling.
1991: OPENING
EFB sales office in Raunheim.
1995: OPENING
EFB sales office and manufacturing for fiber optic assemblies in Mengersgereuth-Hämmern.
1997: OPENING
EFB sales office in Buxtehude.
2001: RELOCATION
Relocation of the manufacturing site from Mengersgereuth-Hämmern to Sonneberg (Thuringia).
2004: INTEGRATION
Into the internationally operating TKH Group.
2005: CERTIFICATION
According to EN ISO 9001:2000.
2007: EXPANSION
Opening of the EFB sales office in Munich and founding of the international sales company in Istanbul, Turkey.
2008: EXPANSION
Of the central warehouse and office premises in Bielefeld.
2010: CERTIFICATION
EN ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 14001, and UL Listing (Manufacturing).
2011: ACQUISITION
Of VMC A/S in Denmark.
2012: GROWTH & ISO
Certification according to OHSAS 18001. Acquisition of S-ComApS in Denmark. Founding of the international sales company in Vienna, Austria.
2013: NORDIC & ANNIVERSARY
Merger of the Danish companies into EFB-Nordic. 25th company anniversary.
2017: DIGITIZATION
Certification according to ISO 50001. Relaunch and revision of the online shop.
2018: ANNIVERSARY & TOOLS
30th company anniversary. Creation of a configurator for breakout and loose tube cables.
2019: BRAND RELAUNCH
Repositioning of the INFRALAN® brand.
2020: EXPANSION & REMOTE
New central warehouse in Herford. Introduction of remote work. New configurator for server cabinets.
2021: AWARDS
Supplier of the Year (LANline). First EFB online trade fair "EFB Connect".
2022: ONE WEB & ENERGY
Merger of homepage/shop. Energy saving project. Anniversaries of EFB Turkey (15 years) and EFB Austria (10 years).
2023: ANNIVERSARY
35th company anniversary. Adjustment of working hours to a 37.5-hour week.
2024: SUSTAINABILITY
Publication of the EFB sustainability vision. Go-live of the CRM system.
2025: FUTURE
Introduction of the move)log® logistics system. In-house development of the X-RACKS (depth-adjustable wall cabinets).
